Crew captures 3rd straight National Championship amidst multiple medal finishes

Skyline Crew ventured out to Camden, NJ for the United States Scholastic National Championships. Hopes were high to bring back podium finishes for the Eagle contingent.

Four out of six boats made finals (top 6 in the nation). The Eagles fought hard with some stellar performances that elevated to them top of high school rowing in the US.

Sophia Klein and Melanie Hampton were crowned National Champions in the Women’s Varsity Double! After trailing in second place for the first 2/3 of the race, they held their nerve and dug deep to move through into first in the final 250m.

Zach Burns and Bavonese took silver in the Varsity Lightweight Men’s Double

Kate Burns, Ryan Bielawa, Emily Hatch and Morgan Eddins took silver in the Women’s JV Quad.

Camlan Smith, Jesse Evers, Ronnie Cantrell and Trevor Force took bronze in the final 100 meters of the Men’s JV Quad.

To achieve these kind of results, it takes the whole team of 55 kids to push, support and motivate each other. The whole team should be proud of these accomplishments.
